Ten-plus years ago, I started writing the poems that would become Following Sea (writing takes time!) as I struggled through the long years of trying to have children and embracing genealogy as a way to explore my place in the world.
Tonight, I’ll be celebrating this book at Winnipeg’s McNally Robinson and if you’re far away and would like to come, you can!
My publisher, Turnstone, will be live-streaming the event on their Facebook page right here (just go there at the start time and it should pop up), including the option for distant viewers to post questions in real time during the Q and A after I read from the book.
Even if you can’t attend in person to indulge in the spice cake, I really hope that you can make it! The festivities begin at 7 pm, Central Time (here’s a handy time zone converter if you’re wondering what that means for you).
To read an excerpt from a poem (Historian) and find out more about the book, you can visit this page.
Congratulations, Lauren! I will ask the Sault library to purchase a copy. Looking forward to reading it.
