I’m thrilled to be part of the brand new Lakehead University initiative that gathers people for summer programs in arts, culture, and community.
In partnership with the Leacock Summer Writers’ Festival, I’ll be offering a course on dealing with the anxiety that inevitably emerges when one tries to create. Believe me, I’ve had lots of practice in this area (as do all working artists).
The workshop takes place on Saturday, July 27th, from 9 am to noon, and is a bargain at $40. Read more about it and register at the bottom of this page.
I’m also excited to join the line-up at the Leacock Festival this year. Writers David Daniel Moses, Jan Zwicky, Roger Bell, Jowita Bydlowska, Griffin Poetry Prize winner David McFadden and others will be there, and I’ll be reading from Swarm on Sunday, July 28th at 1 p.m. with fellow former Orillian Darryl Whetter.
Come on out, say hello, and settle in for some writing with me on the Saturday morning! I can’t wait!
Hi Lauren
We will be at our son’s cottage on the Key River, near Sudbury, on the day of your reading!!!!!!
I’m excited about all this literary hullaballu that’s carrying you on it’s wave. GOOD on you, girl.
Looking forward to reading your book.
You and Your Mom are such wonderful artists. Thanks for your gifts to all of us.
Hugs
Judi
Thanks, Judi. Enjoy your time at the cottage! I will be back in October for book events so hope to maybe see you then 🙂
