Went out to Clearwater Lake this afternoon, a half-hour drive north.
In the summer, people tell us, you can see through its 40-some feet of water to the very bottom. These days it’s solid and white.
We met up with a few co-workers of J.’s and let our dogs run loose on the snow-packed trails. The four of them formed a quick pack.
Once we all walked out on the frozen lake, our view changed from snow-clotted spruce to huge ice formations made by wind and water. Beautiful and eerie, all at once.
You went out on the lake???? As in walked on the water??????
AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!
Does your room colour work?? Do you feel warm in there?

Hey Lauren, Mowat looks like a baby bear crossing the ice. He is so cute. With the sun this morning Jake was out sitting on the back deck and sunning himself. Vitamin D is good for all. Working away at my new office these days. It has been really busy. Loving it!
