It turns out I’m the only writer in Manitoba who made it onto the Top 40 for Canada Reads, so yesterday I chatted with Terry MacLeod on the CBC Manitoba Morning Show about Swarm. Here’s the interview:

They also asked me to write an article about my top five concerns of our current oil-hungry economy which you can read on their blog.

This support, and all the support I’ve been getting, including the incredible turnout at yesterday’s reading at the Library here in The Pas, has been amazing and I’m hopeful it will usher the book onto the Canada Reads Top 10 list.  They’ll be announcing that next list, from which panelists choose a Top 5, on November 12.

The deadline for voting is tonight at midnight, so if you can get yourself online once more and vote once again for whatever ten books you think would change Canada, I’d certainly appreciate it!
