Cover Reveal!

I am blessed to have an incredibly talented and creative mother.

If you’ve listened to the first lesson in my course about establishing a strong writing practice (set as a free preview lesson today so you can, if you like), you’ll know that she started painting to save her own life, following a devastating head-on collision that she and my brother miraculously survived.

You know that hopeful expression “when god closes a door, he opens a window”? In this case, that was true.

I’m thrilled to announce that my mom’s own open window (which my teenage self happened to model for) will appear on the cover of my new poetry collection, Following Sea, launching next month with Turnstone Press.

Today, dear readers, I share with you this gorgeous cover….

To see more of my mother’s amazing work, take a look at her website.

She also has a show coming up at The Chapel Gallery in Bracebridge, Ontario, opening on March 23rd, from 1 to 4 pm, and running to April 20th.

And my own ‘opening’ – the Winnipeg launch of Following Sea – will happen on Thursday, February 21st at 7 pm at McNally Robinson…
