Firelight Interview Series

firedancerThis interview series, which ran from January 2014 to December 2015, featured Canadian writers of novels and collections of short stories and poetry.

The series gave writers a chance to answer questions they wished they were asked but weren’t – about their latest publications, their other work, their process, life as a writer – with a few of my own burning inquiries thrown in.

The inspiration for this series came from my own longing to talk about Swarm in ways no one asked me, along with an article in the Guardian (now offline) where several writers presented questions they would like to be asked. The CBC Canada Writes Magic 8 Ball series also plays with the same idea. Read more about my inspiration and the idea here.

Throughout the run of the series I hosted/interviewed Nancy Jo Cullen, Elizabeth Ruth, Ariel Gordon, Ayelet TsabariCatherine Bush, Tanis Rideout, Shawn Syms and several other fine writers! Check out the interviews!

In January 2016, I retired the Firelight Series and began my sister projects, Mixed Tape and CanLit Collections.
